Feeling sad feels dumb

We listen, to remind ourselves
Not to feel that way anymore
And not to worry about the things
That life always has in store
We listen, too, at other times
Like when we're deep in pain
Then we put them on repeat
And hear them yet again
And this is why I love sad songs
But hate them, also, too
They're good for being mad
And they're good for feeling blue
But at the end, the saddest songs
Just remind me of you.
