Yeahh, I know. Can't really ship small animals safely. But rats > guinea pigs by a million. They're intelligent (unlike guinea pigs), friendly and affectionate (unlike most guinea pigs), can be litter trained (unlike guinea pigs), and their shit doesn't stink half as bad as guinea pigs'. However, you have to supervise them when they're out and about, unlike guinea pigs. You can kind of park a guinea pig somewhere and it won't move. It'll just sit there, staring and making occasional noises. I admit that's kind of sweet.
