Bleh. Had a nice, relaxing day at work, that calmed me down a whole bunch.
Feeling better.
So yeah, the bizarre entry from a couple nights ago, that was a thought I had just before bed, and I left that there really as a notation to myself, so I'd remember the idea. But, the more I mull it over, the more it makes sense. Allow me to elucidate.
Since the dawn of time, men have told stories. Initially (we presume) they were merely oral, but later, painted, then written, then performed, then digitally created, etc. And one of the few common elements in these stories is that there's almost always a protagonist, who's more than an ordinary men (because, well, who wants to hear a story about the ordianry?).
Frequently, the stories told by man have a moral- they're instructive. The point is to help modify the behaviour of the listener.
Now, combine the two thoughts. We tell stories about those who are better than us, so as to make ourselves better people. And this is true through all time, as near as I can tell, from Yahweh to Prometheus to Jesus to Arthur to Clark Kent. Nietzsche created the ubermensch to turn humanity into it.
Therefore, men make gods to make men gods. We create something external to ourserves to aspire to, we are the creators that seek to become the creation.

Wow. I'm sounding more pretentious by the day.

I think I'm going to start forcing myself to take regular walks of around an hour, probably daily, just to try to keep myself in shape.
