I am not having a good day. I got 4 hours of sleep, after staying up doing research for my English paper. Which, I didn't finish the requisite outline for. And then I got up about a half-hour earlier than intended. Why? Leafblowers outside my frickin' window. Then, I get ready for work and go. At the corner of Wan and 5th, my glasses case falls out of my backpack. Before I can retrieve it, a truck drives over it.
And then I go to work, where I have to tell some database admins over at General Motors that:
A) They're stupid
B) We're not fixing the stuff they want, even after having paid for me to go onsite.
And then I'm like the only person in the class who DOESN'T have their homework done (really!). So I have to stay after and have the instructor bitch me out.
*sigh*
So now, I'm going to have some rum, order some pizza, and watch a movie or something.
Update: I watched Spider-Man on my new screen. That ending gets me every time- "Just a friend, Peter Parker?"
I guess deep down, Peter Parker is my role model. Not because he's a superhero, but because he's a hero period. He walks away from the great love of his life at the end of the film. Why? Because if he lets her into his life, he knows she'll be hurt. I wish I had that kind of strength. I note that several of my testimonials say that I try really hard to be a nice guy. If so, I could do worse for role models.
