My copies of issues #1 and 2 of the Serenity comic came (except the Kaylee one, because I ordered a signed copy).
Also, my copy of Finding Serenity showed up.
Finally, I loaned one of my new coworkers Firefly yesterday. He's on Disc 3 already. Yay!

I've obviously been missing myself for a while, but for very boring reasons-- more tired as we get ready for the Fall rush at work (I work at a university) and just feeling scattered & blue after the dating poo. Bleh.
At any rate, my friend Aarrun had a similar opinion to yours about the new book, feeling like she must think to maintain the size of the things that she pads them out a bit, but apparently thought this one still got to the meat a bit faster than the last one.
I've just checked it out from the library myself, so we'll see how quickly I get though it with my exhausting work week coming up.
On a happy note-- it's getting closer to September & Serenity should be opening soon!!!! Yippeeeeee!

They played "The Rainbow Connection" song sung by Willie Nelson on our local public radio station when I was on the way to work one morning.) That & the hysterical Vin Diesel rant make you way cool in my book-- I don't care what you say.
I also happen to be a HUGE movie geek, so only more to chat about-- I was friends with several film majors in undergrad (even though I was a painting major) & my l'il bro's probably headed that way as well, so I think/talk about films more than a healthy person probably should.
At any rate, I'm glad to have a new friend & I hope you feel better soon! Any dreamy talk about Firefly/Serenity & drooling over when the new movie may come out, etc is more than welcome, by the way. . .
