So I'm at Future Shop the other day. I wasn't looking for anything in particular. I'd already scored the new Beastie Boys record first thing in the morning, and I'd just driven a friend up so he could get the new Matt Good (and so I could then make fun of him for getting the new Matt Good, because I'm not a very nice person).

As I perused the DVD racks, I was astonished to see Season 2 of Six Feet Under. I wasn't expecting that - I was sure it didn't come out for a few more weeks. Despite the fact that it didn't fit that well into this week's budget, I had to jump on it.

The next day, I head back to Future Shop with the friend who turned me onto the series to begin with. No copies at Future Shop. We head over to Best Buy. No copies there either. Frustrated, my friend asks a clerk if they have any copies in. The guy responds that it isn't out yet. My friend points out "Well, that guy just bought it yesterday."

The guy runs off to confer with a colleague, and we are assured up and down that it isn't supposed to be out until next week. Turns out that it's actually not supposed to be out (according to any of the major retail sites) until July 6th.

Future Shop accidentally broke the street date by a LOT. And last night I was busy tearing through Season 2. I can't believe how addictive the show is... I watched 4 or 5 episodes in a row, and if I hadn't have been tired, I happily could have marathoned through the entire season in one sitting. There are no other shows I could do that with.

So that's my little neat story for the week.
