I can't stop listening to Catherine Wheel's "Adam and Eve" album. It's just too fucking good!!!
I finally watched Lost in Translation last night. I enjoyed it a great deal. I want to play that guitar game!!! And it's made the girl want to go back to Japan.
I also watched Taxi Driver yesterday. Quite frankly, I don't see what all the fuss is about. Now I'm going to spend days going over all the critical analyses of it I can find on the web to see what I was supposed to get out of the film. It's not that I disliked it - I just didn't get it. And I'm not asking "What was the point?" in that way that people who didn't like Donnie Darko ask "What was the point of that?" just because they feel like being pretentious.
I'm sure the problem with me not really getting the film lies with me, and not the film.
I'll admit - I'm not the most astute audience member when it comes to film. My idea of a foreign film is one that stars Asia Carrera.
So I'd like to get this one.
I desperately want a car. I'm going to try and work up the will to go over to the insurance agency later today and ask a couple of questions about what my insurance would be like on a couple of the models that I'm interested in.
Although I'm awfully tempted to not even leave the house today, just because nothing bad has happened yet, and that's so not in keeping with my break thus far that I don't want to jinx it.
Well, granted, looking at my bank balances didn't make me any happier, but that's tied most directly to my computer dying on Sunday, so I don't think I can count that as a black mark for Tuesday.
Maybe I'll just hide, do laundry, and throw things at passers-by.
I just don't get it when people brag about how much music they're downloading. Jerks.
