Well, I guess it's time to stop milking that last journal and throw something new up. Like, for instance, some new pictures!!! Four of 'em, as a matter of fact, continuing the "scenes from my office" series. Perhaps you'd like to look at them.

I just want to be clear in advance that I never said I wasn't a geek.

I also want to be clear that I'm geek and I'm proud.

Not much new to report. Things at work are slowing down as our current project winds down. This, I suspect, will lead to a period spanning the next week or so of what can probably best be described as nonstop partying. A bunch of us went out to one of the really nice strip joints last night (ending at last the terrible 10-day drought that will hereafter live in infamy), and while half the table (yours truly included) managed to do serious damage to neither liver nor wallet, I'm told that was just the warmup. Apparantly, the party starts now.

That's good. We've earned it. But still - pray for me. And if you don't hear from me for a week, send the marines!!!

I took the gf out to dinner tonight (the Pad Thai was too spicy), and a couple of our friends from my office came to join us. We were loud and exhuberant and laughing till it hurt and reciting lines from the Summoner Geeks clip (which, if you've never seen, is probably the funniest thing on the internet, and, I should be clear, is itself based on a skit from, iirc, The Dead Alewives). I work with such an awesome group of people. And I've had jobs where I haven't, so I very much appreciate it.

And that's about all I have to say right now.

So tell me - when was the last time you were a huge (and ideally unapologetic) geek in public? And I want details, God damn you!!!

I wanna work where you do. My office wouldn't even think to invite me to a strip club.
