Well, it finally happened. Amy and I have broken up. I guess she was feeling too much pressure and I don't think she's really ready to settle down to just one person. Not that she said that, but that's what I think it is. Does it hurt? Hell yeah. My gut feels like it's turning cartwheels. I feel so alone now. I'll get over it though. It would be a lot rougher if we had been actually together like in a real relationship, but that doesn't mean it doesn't hurt in the short term. Maybe this is what I need to get my head straight for the short term.

I will miss her though. She shook me out of myself and I liked her son. However, she always kept me at a distance from her friends. I wonder if I wasn't "blue collar" enough for her or her friends.

I'm alone, I have a lot of work to do, but by this summer, I'll have a lot of things straight, some big bills paid off and I'll be a lot more comfortable financially. That will give me a lot more confidence in finding someone.
