The truth is a wonderful thing, it brings meaning to everything. It's odd that the truth is much like telling lies, once you start you just have to keep going.
The odd thing about lies is that we learn from an early age that lies sometimes work. We're backed into a corner, asked questions and if we tell the truth we get in trouble anyways. Why not take a chance and go for the little white lie that might save your skin?
Then it takes what seems like a lifetime to undo that lesson... thank goodness the truth gets easier as life goes on.
