My faith in humanity has just been restored.
I was working at a bike rally today to raise money for a 17 month old that needs major surgery. I've met the boy's grandfather several times over the years, and generally am just a sucker for a good cause like that anyway, so I agreed to supply my sound system and help out with whatever random stuff they needed done.
At one point, the grandfather, who is an incredible custom bike builder, raffles off a chopper that he built just for this event.
They guy who won wasn't present at the time, so they call him from the stage to tell him that he won.
What does the guy say?
"Cool...why don't you keep the bike, auction it off, and whatever you make off it can go to the kid"
Seeing a yard full of grizzled old bikers without a dry eye in the house is a pretty awesome sight.
Now, I just got home from about 12 hours of working there, so I'm brain-fried and ready for sleep.
