So here I am on the big island, after nearly starting a riot at the Honolulu airport.
My flight was supposed to leave at 4:15, but got delayed until 5:20. Turns out, there was another flight to Kona scheduled to leave at 5:30 from the same gate, so people from that flight were trying to get onto ours. One guy started flinging attitude around, at one point actually bypassing the entire line and stepping in front of me, telling the guy at the gate "well, I have someone picking me up at the Kona airport in 40 minutes...if my flight is running late, I need to get on this one".
While the gate attendant was trying to do the customer service thing ('sorry sir, but your flight is the next one...this flight is full blah blah blah') I finally got sick of listening to his shit and told him "listen motherfucker, my mom has been sitting at the Kona airport waiting to pick me up for the last 30 minutes, and I'm not even on the plane yet. You might as well sit your ass down and wait for your plane before we both miss our flights completely...you because you'll be riding in an ambulance, and me because I'll be leaving in a police car"
The gate attendant tried really hard not to laugh, the entire line behind me gave me a standing ovation, the pissy guy made a comment about me being a jackass or something or other, and once on the plane the flight attendants gave me a free beer.
