It appears my old band is up on myspace. The fuckers actually had the nerve to record and put up a song that was written my me and another guy that quit. No one currently in the band had anything to do with writing it, except for the singer putting lyrics to it. How much you want to bet that when their cd is done, they'll take full writing credit without a single mention of me or the other guy who actually did the writing?
Anyone who knows me knows that I'm very mellow, easy going, really really hard to piss off. Well, these people piss me off...a lot. I have never met anyone nearly as disrespectful and full of themselves as they are. They used to love telling me I know nothing about music. Funny considering the singer was in her first band (ever) and the guitarist wasn't even born yet when I started playing music.
They used to love talking about how we "blew away" a certain, already established, local band that gave us the opportunity to open for them, thereby exposing us to a new crowd that normally wouldn't have seen us. "Their crowd was feeling us more than they were feeling them...we killed it...they shouldn't have even gone onstage after us!" they said...guess what? You left right after we finished! You didn't see the entire packed house jumping around and singing along with every song those guys played. I did!
You want to talk shit like that when it's just us around, hey, you're full of shit, but whatever. What gets me is that they ran around telling everyone they talked to about that. I spent months appologizing to the other band's manager. To this day, I'm embarrassed every time I run into him.
Sorry about the rant. Disrespectful people make my blood pressure rise.

Damn, that really sucks. Sorry to hear about all the drama of the ex band. If it does come out on their cd, be sure to let us know the song so we can say,"Hey, my friend wrote that song!" Alright? You have earned bragging rights with us! How was Anna Banana's? I really wanted to go. I'm sorry that I got stuck with crazy people instead of with you and Gypsy! I HAVE to go out with you guys soon!
