And now I bid thee farewell.

The time has come for me to leave, for good I think. Tomorrow I move to Deland, FL to live with Emily. I am more excited than I think I have ever been for anything. Emily compliments my life in the best way. She reminds me of how incredible life is, every day.

So, for those who wish to...

I had the pleasure of seeing The Bad Plus last night. This is one of the finest bands to ever come around the pike. All the guys are insanely good. If anyone wants to see jazz's true potential, pick up their debut lp, These Are The Vistas. You won't be sorry. But to be honest, this band is so good, the record has NOTHING over...

Well, to be honest, the last few days I have been listening to Genesis "Abacab" and The Police "Outlandos d'Amour" as well as tying a connection between underappreciated Can and Funkadelic. A lot of times my listening sessions are completely eclectic and other times I may sit down and listen to every album a band has made (I do that with Sonic Youth quite a...

I can't think of my fave songwriters right now...I'll get back to you on that.

But thank you for letting me know that she is okay. Tell her I am sorry for her loss, though and hug her tight for me when you can.

Copious amounts of credit due to my wicked ass girlfriend.

Today, Emily found us the PERFECT apartment. Old Spanish-style Stucco building. Hardwood floors, five big rooms with windows on every wall. Tons of light peering in.

Cost? $425 a month. HA! Incredible, and because it is privately owned, we don't have to lay down first and last month's rent.

Know any better deals? I bet...

Oh my. What a deal!!!

Of *course* you would know Mori. You never cease to amaze me. Funny that I've never heard her stuff with Kim Gordon.

re. Living situation...um...I've only had good times in a place for a couple months at a time and then it all crashes...thinking...yeah, they've all kind of sucked.

I bought Schneider Tm's Moist recently. It's subtly amazing. It's pretty much a house endeavor...but very German.

Both you *and* clovesbud will hate me, but I go CD...all the way. But I only do it because I didn't have a turntable for years upon years...and convenience. I was also sooooo opposed to MP3's until I started DJing and realized I could pack 2000 tracks on my laptop or 50-60 records.

If I could, I would do all vinyl, but I'm weak...that's why I'm not a vegetarian too haha.

Um...unsure on the gear question. Ask Clovesbud and tell him I sent you wink He has a portable turntable! He's all vinyl...I mean *all*.

Today the blue sky is battling for attention with the heavy, white clouds.

Today I am listening to The Sea and Cake and Yo La Tengo.

Today I am going to jam with the band.

Today I am going to hang out with one of my finest friends.

Tis a good good day.

"Thanks Meatwad. Is it a birdfeeder?
No Frylocke, those are those wrap-around sunglasses you said you wanted
Oh thanks, I'll put 'em on later
No put 'em on now
Hahaha. Put those up in the attic along with all the other stuff he gave you...right next to your bark-shoes"

take this moment to think about s p a c e ...

humans have a tendency to push everything closer together as we overpopulate certain parts of the globe. nyc vs. north dakota. in fact... space can become such an issue that people in urban areas can fear space. while some cityfolk may love going out to the country and being surrounded by space, others...

Even after all this time, I am still completely overwhelmed by Led Zeppelin's "In My Time of Dying". To me, that song has every single element of what made Zeppelin so incredible. But the thing that ALWAYS brings me to my knees is the part when the tempo picks up and John Bonham declares himself drum God. That break is perhaps my favorite break to...

Thank you for the comments. You are the only person who consistently comments on my journal entries, however infrequent they are. May be the only reason I am still here at SG...

Zeppelin is, and always will be, amazing.

Think of yourself winding down a country lane. You're driving an old American 60s deal, rusted to the core, barely runs. You drive down a poorly maintained dirt road. the kind where the grass has started to grow back. Your shocks are shot to shit, so the car seat is bumping you up and down like a ride.

You drive for 15 minutes and you...
