So...

I saw Patti Smith on friday. I have no words to explain my experience, but I will say this: Patti still rocks just as hard as she ever did and is as humble as ever. She is such a strong reason why rock music rules. Her presence is unmatched. Her power and passion is incredible. It was one of the most inspiring shows I have ever seen. I am overly impressed with everything she has done. What a brilliant person...

she is BEAUTIFUL live. compelling. i felt so enlivened when last i saw her live (bonus, Nels Cline was ALSO in the audience and at one time i vaguely knew him -- as i'd interviewed w/him and chatted w/him a few times). brush with greatness musings... (and they're both such undercover superheroes!!!)
