Lack of sleep can stir up some frightening results!
Today, I was napping before I had to go to work and I had the strangest dream. For some reason or another I was working in some music store that seemed more like a general store from the old west. Anyway, while I was working, this happy, flamboyant woman in her 40's or 50's (and her aide) came in with flyers for us to hang up announcing an upcoming concert. I remember the concert was for John Scofield. She was very pleasant and after she handed them to us, she began softly crying. Her aide ran to her and tried to calm her down like this sort of thing happenend all the time. As the woman broke into a violent cry, the assistant told us she suffered from amnesia and often forgot where she was. It was a very sad and disturbing sight to see.
Then, as she was leaving the store with her aide, a man came through the door and randomly smooched her on the lips. When she had finally left, I felt like I had known her my entire life, but I have never known an amnesiac.
This is what lack of sleep can evoke. Of course, this got me thinking how sad this woman's life was. She had to have an aide go around with her in case she forgot where she was and freaked out (and boy did she freak out). I mean, she was screaming and crying as if she was under attack and was screaming for her life. But I guess she was under attack, by her mind. It was a very sad scene.
