I love how Peter Gabriel and David Byrne have done so much for getting world music into this country. Both Real World and Luaka Bop have helped people see that music that isn't from this country can still be good and full of life. I have been listening to music from all over the world today. It is so refreshing to see such brilliance from around the globe.
I have been thinking a lot about Laurie Anderson lately. I think I may idolize her most. The way she is an artist in every aspect thrills me. And how she combines all that is art, creativity, and passion into her performances fills me with delight. She is something else.
