Last night I was having a conversation with a group of friends (one of which made a killer italian dinner over which we conversed). My friend Joe (italian dinner creator) made a very good point about capitalism. We had been talking about various religions and he got to saying how capitalism is a religion itself. Instead of going to church on sundays, people are spending time worrying about stocks and going out and buying stuff which will make their life more tolerable. They work all the time and their nirvana is a heaping pile of money. This is what they strive for. Their supreme being does not exist because they know that a supreme being would never approve of the corruption taking place with a capitalistic society.
I could go on and on, (and I did till the early morning), but it is just an interesting concept that I never thought about.

Insecurious, do you mean a cokehead neighbor? One of my old friends that was quite a cokehead used to fucking cut the grass at 4AM. Pretty lame.

Hmm...I dunno about that theory. I think for some people it may be true but for most I think they still need their chair in the sky to sleep well at night.
