suoda, I have read High Fidelity. Interestingly, I lent it to a girl I kinda like recently and she despised it so much...said it was nothing but a male fantasy how women should be and how it was totally unrealistic that they got back together in the end...she was like, so pissed off about it. I told her that ultimately I thought it it was so good because it *was* kinda throwing light on some of the scarier parts of the male mind. That notion seemed to piss her off even more...

I wonder how many other women have seen the book this way? This may call for another thread....
