I went to the Oregon Country Fair this weekend and had a pretty damn good time. I went alone, so it was the perfect opportunity to just take things in and people-watch. And there was high-quality watching to be had. Costumes and nudity everywhere. It was really nice to see people so comfortable with their bodies and so willing to just have a good time and be silly and express themselves without worrying about what others might think. The atmosphere was friendly and open. I'm normally a fairly quiet person who hates contact with strangers, but I found myself having some great conversations with people, exchanging smiles, and in one case even sharing a hug with someone. It was nice. Even if half the people did reek of patchouli.

p.s. If I'm not around here as often, I apologize. I do not find the new layout aesthetically pleasing in the least. All the frou-frou is distracting. The girls don't need all that crap to be interesting.
