Well,
I'm sure all the Sask folks seen my minesite in the news over the past week. We had a bigtime flood that basically turned a large underground development and 500m shaft to underground into one deep fuckin wishing well. There are definately people tossing some big money down that well. It sounds like it'll be fixed sooner than I expected but god-damn it's a morgue up here right now. Lots of layoffs this past week, my 5 month prego girl ms. vodka_andhonesty was one of them. Luckily I kept a job up here at least but I'm also gonna take this chance to either consult to them for more money or else maybe go work somewhere else. Gotta keep the money coming in, plus being a shameless opportunist I will take any chance to better my own position over a multi-billion dollar Corporation.
Now if we only didn't spend all our money all summer seeing all those great shows we'd probably have a pretty nice cushion of cash to fall back on but oh well, that's life.
Funny how you see shit like this differently when you know you got a baby on the way.
Bleh.. In other news it's fuckin shitty cold and snowy as hell up here. Fuck this shit. Why the fuck would I want to work in a place that is below 0 over 6 months a year. I've been here before when it was -48 not including the windchill. Motherfucker would have to be crazy to stay in an environment like this. I suppose I stay inside most of the time, and Beledi's man works way closer to Santa than me so I should not bitch.

A friend of mine is rather fond of telling a chemist friend of ours that chemistry is made up. It gets him pretty upset. I wonder if mathematicians would do the same if we said that about math?
