Hey there everyone. How are you? I am doing well and in a wonderful mood. One of the classes I am taking is one a friend suggested to me. It is a behavior modification class. I thought it was a class to help us learn to change other people's behavior. Wrong!!!! This class is set up for Self-Directed Behavior or that is the title of the book. The class asks that you set up a project to change a personal behavior. Along the way you are to journal and make notations yatta-yatta-yatta.
I think I will get the most out of this class because I have a shit load of bad habits and am due for some change to make my life better. Not to mention this class could be useful in designing regiments for patients with medication and such. This may be my most useful class.
So what makes this a "Good Monday?" Well I started a small project on myself after reading the first chapter. I have decided along with the major project I will do smaller projects that will help me in the larger one. This way most of the work will be done by the end of the semester. I chose to get up by 8am this whole week and an hour earlier every other week till I reach my goal of 5:30am. I awoke this morning and went outside.
Here in Florida walking outside is a gamble during the winter because you never know what you will walk out to. Today it was a chilly morning but it felt nice and refreshing. I paused at the back door taking it all in. Enjoying every moment of the sun warming my skin. Noting the air smelling of bacon, my neighbor I suppose. I found the experience to be something that I have taken for granted far too long. I think that I may enjoy this new morning experience/ritual. I am by nature a morning person but of late I have crept into a not so morning person.
Well I am going to go and enjoy the rest of the morning. Maybe go out for a walk and soak up the things that have been neglected by my attention and enjoyment for the past year.
