[ATTN:] massive pic post!
I had fun on my berfday. (I turned *21* on July 1... same birthday as Canada! haha)
The day before, I went to the bank, and then went with my mom to visit my aunt up in St Joseph, Michigan. We went to lunch and then walked around down town and then walked by the beach. I got mad at lunch though because my mom kept telling EVERYBODY that it was my 21st birthday (even though it wasn't until the next day) and then didn't know how to react when the waitress asked for my ID. Come on, Mom. I look 12. Did you really think I could get away without getting carded? Ugh. I wasn't planning on ordering anything since I knew I'd get carded, but then since she made such a big deal about it I felt like I had to order something. Then I felt like an idiot because I had to tell the waitress I left my ID. It was so annoying. And then they were out of what I wanted to order. So I was grumpy that day haha. But then afterwards, once we walked around, I was fine.
Then, on my actual birthday, Jae wasn't able to go last minute, so it was just Nick, Rob, and me. It was still fun, but not having Jae go made it all a lot more expensive for everybody. Not everything went as planned. We ended up meeting up with Rob's friend who lives there, but he didn't seem to want to do anything we suggested and was kind of a bummer the entire night. It was like, ok dude, it's my birthday, we're not here to cater to what you want haha. We did end up going to a really nice Vietnamese restaurant, though. The food was AMAZING! Then we went to a little sex shop, and a dumb sports bar (Rob's friend picked it... the only reason I call it dumb is because I can find a million places like that at home. I wanted to go to Chicago for something unique). Then we finally ended up at this really cool bar called the Funky Buddha Lounge. I thought that place was so awesome! I would love something like that around here. I hate South Bend haha. While we were there, I ended up meeting LostLucy and writeboy! It was very unexpected, but a nice surprise.
After that place closed (2am... boooo) we ended up at some place that had an after-party for a rapper. You'll have to excuse me, I know nothing of rap, so I don't remember who he was. But I got my picture taken with LostLucy and I don't remember the name of the club, and she for some reason was deleted, so I can't track it down haha. By this point Nick was really drunk and ended up getting pissed off at people and threw a fit, but oh well. I was pretty good the whole night though, and didn't get too drunk. I didn't have a hangover the next day, but Nick and Rob both did haha. We all ended up over-sleeping so none of us got showers before we had to check out of the hotel. Oh well. So that next day we walked around Chicago, went to Navy Pier, and I got to do a little shopping.
So, over all, not too crazy of a birthday, but I still had fun. I wish it all wouldn't have been so expensive, though... Nick bought alcohol before we left so we wouldn't have to spend so much at the bar, but we didn't drink any of it haha. I don't even want to know what their bar tabs were... ouch. I would feel so bad if I really knew!
My parents got me some nice things for my birthday, too. For one, I FINALLY GOT A NEW CELL PHONE!! You don't understand... I'd been without a phone since September. It was hell haha. It's a really nice phone, too. It flips open to a full keyboard and has a camera. You should have seen my old phone, haha. It was a Nokia brick. I had that thing for 5 years! I'll have to post before and after photos, lol. They also gave me $50 to spend in Chicago, some clothes, a bunch of random jewelry, a 2GB SD card for my camera, and money for a passport! yay!
Oh, and also, I still haven't found a new job yet and am getting even crappier hours at Disney. But, I did get the bank to clear ALL of my overdraft fines! I got a really nice lady, and mentioned it was my birthday and how my job hadn't been paying me, and she cleared all of them! yay!

I didn't take many pictures in Chicago actually, which I know is weird for me haha. I didn't feel comfortable taking my purse to the bars, and we didn't go back to our hotel until the end of the night. but here's a couple I took.
