point well taken, i know it isnt their fault that as a nation we are so fat. but, it certainly has something to do with it. clever marketing schemes are fairly even in their tactics in targeting young children with the promise of toy prises and "magic". children aren't dumb, but they are easily impressionable and unfortunately mass media will usually be the first to reach them. read "fast food nation". it is a wonderful book.
