So this summer is finally starting to prove that summer time = good shows. Or at least for me. The next few weeks are looking pretty rad as far as I'm conerned. There are about 4 shows I don't want to miss. I know for a fact I will be at two of them. The other two, well I guess we'll see.

First off, we have the very laid back, down boys from Orange County. The Uprising.
I have to give these guys credit. They actually play some pretty good shit. That, and they are interactive w/there fans. I initially found this band on MySpace. But you know how that normally goes, the bands add you...but whenever you ask questions or leave comments you never fucking hear back from them. Not these guys...I've gotten a response everytime. I was suprised and thought it was pretty cool of them to take the time. Thats how you gain a fan base...being an asshole just doesn't cut it for me. If you play good shit and your fucking cool people...I will be at the show.

7/29 @ The Cooler Lounge

Secondly, we have the RX Bandits. If your into ska or even some reggae...these guys might strike your interest. Their not ska- but they have horns, their not reggae-but they have that rhythm. All their lyrics are really meaningful as well. You'll get something out of listening to these guys, its not just pointless music.

7/31 @ H.O.B

Then, (on unexpected notice to me) we've got the good ol' Riverboat Gamblers. I had no idea these guys were even playing here anytime soon, I guess it's because they aren't headling this show...X and Rollins Band is. Regardless, I was wondering aimlessly through a record store a couple months back and happened to stumble on there newest album- To The Confusion Of Our Enemies. I flipped it over and noticed they were a Volcom band..and thought..."fuck it". I have a tendency to randomly buy cd's from bands I know nothing about. This one was worth the chance. They're from Denton, TX. What more do you want?

Finally. For those of you who love the WAGON...my dearest friends...GO TO THIS SHOW for fucks sake!
I don't feel the need to stress how good this show is going to be...if you don't already know, I'm sorry. Your ass is lame. If you dont go for Lagwagon...go for A Wilhelm Scream!!! Those guys are fucking radical. If you don't know who they are go anyways, they are worth checking out..and I can't imagine how good they're going to be live. Be there. Or suck monkey balls.
