I'm such a muppet, I got my dates for my interview mixed up. duuuuh.

Anyway I am back in Carlisle, and I'm going out on the piss tonight to make myself feel better because I'm pretty sure that one part of my life isnt as good as it was, and i dont think its going to get any better frown

oh well, I'm feeling much better having spent a week at home, it was good to feel welcome for once! Anyhow, my desires for my own place in glasgow have been getting stronger, i have to wait until i finish this damn degree then move back to a place where I pretty much dont know any one, all my mates will be down south. There was talk of moving to Brighton.....but we'll see.

I've been looking at sewing machines, dont know if toyotas are any good, but i need one, i dont want to be cheap, but if i make enough on my clothes on ebay and use some of my loan i can hopefully buy a deece one, because i want to get an overlocker too. I've also been looking for thread on ebay because I'm skint and you can usually buy lots of threads cheap!!

Yeah I'd agree with your price range - you could try the yellow ads papers as well. Most sewing shops sell of their end of ranges a bit cheap too. Might be worth finding out if there any local ones who do discount for students or asking the big companies/agents directly if they have educational discount. If you don't ask you don't get eeek

This company does ex-display this isn't a bad machine, it's one of the ones I looked at a while back:

I'm not sure what brands of sewing machines you can get in the UK, but my seamstress mother has always used Singer, and Viking Husqvarna. The Viking ones also have overlock. love Just the ones that she uses, and most of the professionals here in the states go with.
