not sure if any of you watch cnn, specificly some of the things that are going on over here, but most of the shit that they are talking about in baghdad, is the area that we patrol in. car bombs, roadside bombs, that kinda shit. still here but somethimes it get pretty intense.

some of you might be glad that i have had a hand in "detaining" some shitbags. fun but not fun at the same time.

what really sux about it is the whole launguage barrier thing, i try to tell them that the are going to get raped in prison but i don't think that they understand me. oh well, i'm sure they won't forget that kick. good story but you're gunna have to hit me up for that later..........


ok.....update....

i was just informed that my best friend in the unit was shot in the leg not but a couple of hours ago. this guy is the only person in the unit that i do anything with outside of the army. you know how you have friends and you have aquaintences(sp?). aqu. are people that you get along with at work or at church, but do nothing with on personal time. friends fill your personal time. get it. he is my best friend, and know i'm pissed. seriously pissed. i'm more pissed now than when my truck almost blew up......i don't know how to describe this.

conviently while i type this "death comes ripping" remix by cradle of filth is playing and that is exactly what is going to happen..........

good news. my friend mentioned above is doing ok. right now he is in germany recovering till he can be sent home for good. don't think i would be functioning very well if i lost him. i'm still upset that he won't be here but at least he is alive and he will be my first stop after i make it back home.
