try this......if you haven't caught previous posts...the sector that my unit works in is pretty chill......granted it is part of baghdad but more like a suburb. anyway since the whole transfer of soveirgnty to the iraqi government, the "action" has started to pick up alittle bit. before last week nothing happened in our area. no gun battles, no bombs, no shit...now in a weeks time 3 ied's(improvised explosive device) have gone off in our area. about 3 hrs ago, my platoon was out doing a night patrol in the sector. actually we were about ten minutes from going back inside the wire, back to the trailers. my squad happened to be the last vehicle on this patrol so for me(being the driver) was a pretty easy night. everything was going well when ....BBBBBBBBBBOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMMMMMMMMMMM, about 20ft behind our vehicle. i was in a daze for about 3 seconds and then i was like HHHHHHHHHHHOOOOOOOLLLLLLLLLLLLYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY FFFFFFFFFFFUUUUUUCCCCCCCCCCCKKKKKKKK, i think that was the fastest that i have ever driven with my night vision goggles on. i was pissed, everybody was pissed.....some mutha fucker tried to kill me and my brothers. they tried to kill me. someone was watching our patrol and they pressed the button to try and kill me.....well everybody made it ok. a couple of bruises and a mind splitting headache. i'm still pretty shaken up but i'm alive and god damn it someday i'm comming home.
can't wait till they do it again, cause like always, i'm ready to put a bullet in some dumbasses head.
