I am still home on leave. There's nothing better than getting away from the chaos of the military life. I absolutely hate being in the Marines, but see no reason to skip out early or do anything to get myself kicked out. I will "do my time" and just get out. I guess that is basically all. Hoping to get some friends on this site quickly

That's cool. The GI Bill is nice. Just be sure to save up some cash before you get out - you seem like a smart guy, not one of the fools living paycheck to paycheck. I got out with +$20k and it makes school 100% easier. Shit, all you should be paying for is beer and fun.

I'm at University of Colorado majoring in Physics. It's kinda boring compared to the Corps, but hey... lots more ladies. wink Met my dream girl here... it happens.

Nice. I didn't get shit. If I ever find that g***amn recruiter... Anyways, yeah... I'm doing ok and Boulder is stupid expensive. It's a big laugh coming to college and finding out that you have class from 8am-2pm MWF and 9am-10am TR and people talking about "what a tough schedule that is"... tongue

The big payout is coming. When you're kicking back in your pad with your keg of Guiness while your freshman classmates stumble to their fast food jobs, you'll see. That and having USMC on your resume is a big bonus. It says you can get shit done.
