I had a conversation today about wealthy vs. average Americans. The girl I was talking to said that rich americans don't know what it's like to live life in the real world. I listened to her viewpoints and several other peoples thoughts, and they basically all shared the same views. They felt the wealthy were detatched from the "real" america. I mentioned that the wealthy people they were talking about actually constituted the "real" america, while we exist in a world that was invented to propogate their well-being. Everyone looked at me like I had a penis growing out of my forehead. I mention this anecdote to give a small token of thanks to Michael Moore. He has the ability to present radical viewpoints, in reference to the mainstream consciousness, and not sound like a complete lunatic. He might be a shameless purveyor of propaganda, but he's just playing the same games the conservatives have been playing for years.
Tatoos; on my back; working on a T.S. Eliot's "The Wasteland" theme
Man, you're going to have to explain that one.
I had a friend who got a blueprint of The Panopticon on his back.
Now you're getting all T.S. Elliot and shit. Makes my scorpions and half undressed chicks seem downright unschooled.
I've always been more "The Hollow Men" myself. But I always thought The Wasteland would make a great movie.
So are you printing the words, or some sort of visual representation?
A nice haiku would be a lot less painful.
Good to meet ya.
