I just live with my dad which isnt that harsh since he is mostly ok, its more a case of this status within the house, where upon any argument can be won by him repeating that he is the figure head and thus rules will be followed.
Plus i think the struggle of keeping a house with a few mates would be some well learn'ed life skills.
