I am all summered out.

I have felt comfortable in tank tops, even, sometimes, attractive. I have stood at intersections feeling the sun warm my face. I have hiked for miles and miles in the woods, through sun and mud and bugs and rain. I have been caught in the rain. I have driven around town with the windows down and the stereo up, while everyone else chickens out and lives on air conditioning. I have jumped curbs on my skates, felt a solid landing, the wind in my hair. I have felt the sand on my bare feet, tasted the salt of the ocean, seen naked men on a beach. I've sketched sailboats. I've done more with color this summer than I've ever done in my life. I drove to NC to see my friend's photography show. I ate a lot of hot dogs, and ice cream. I think I have enjoyed this summer
as much as I possibly could.
