I had a bit of a medical scare yesterday. I had this scar (thumb area) that had irritated me and I scratched it. I thought, no big deal. Well, that was on Thursday. By Friday it started looking really nasty and was red. Then by Saturday morning it was really sore to the touch and then later on, I happened to look at my arm and there was this bright red streak going from my thumb up my arm and almost at my shoulder! Holy Shit! So I decided to go to the urgent care center. To make a long story short, I had gotten an infection in my lymph nodes and if I hadn't come in at that time....it would have been blood poisoning and that would not be good. The doctor was amazed at how aggressive the infection was.....he said I was lucky it wasn't worse. So he gave me some antibiotics. I took them when I got home and they just knocked me out.....15 hours later I am awake and the streak is barely visible now. Whew! I have to go back to the doctor tomorrow to se how things are progressing.....

I really, really, really do NOT like needles....ugh.
