suburbia

So I just got into Chicago again. I was supposed to move into a house with some people and apparently on my way here from Virginia I get a call from the landlord who isn't sure he wants me to move in since he hasn't met me yet, even though the roommates were okay with it. My birthday is on friday and I have no one to celebrate it with since my only friend here already has other plans. Then to top it all off, the incident at my college, Virginia Tech, happened and I've been calling my friends all week to make sure they are okay. Things just seem to be falling apart all around me right now and I can't do anything to stop it.
