Before I comment on my personal life, just a quick question.
What kind of fucking world do we live in?
I read in the newspaper that a British teacher in Sudan who has been convicted fir insulting Islam for fifeen days imprisonment. What did she do? She allowed her class to name a teddy bear 'Mohammed'. And if the press is to be believed (which I'm usually cynical about), there are protesters burning effigies of her, brandishing weapons and calling for her execution.

In other news, it's not been a great time for one of my friends. He's facing beeing evicted in the new year, and to top it off, his wifes father recently passed away. It never rains, but it pours seems to be an appropriate metaphor. My thoughts are currently with Alan's family and friends - Words are never good enough for situations like this
Christmas time really hits home how much I hate being single (although at least it's one less present). I've been doing some of the Christmas Shopping although I also managed to get myself Guitar Hero III so the ol' 360 is seeing more of my shredding ability (not very good).
Anyway, Paint it Black is calling.

The whole Sudan issue is horrific but believe me, there are worse things going all over the world. Once her 15 days are up, she'll be deported, she'll come back to the UK, sell her story and make enough money to never have to worry again. Having said that, I wouldn't swap places with her.
This makes me think WHAT THE FUCK?! I was in this godforsaken place back in the Summer and it changed my life forever.
