ok i just saw a commercial that pretty much solidifies my belief that there is no hope for kids these days. it was an ad for a robotic toy dog. the commercial was goin on about how realistic it was and like how it could bark and come when you call and even lick you with its little plastic tounge. and it was like "Robo Pup [i actually forget what the toy was called] can do all these things! Just like a real dog!" and it shows a little girl playing with it and being all happy. and then this little boy says "My dog can do that too..." but he looks all sad and when the real dog licks his face they made all these sloppy "gross out" sound effects and the girl with the robot dog laguhs at him and tells him to get one of those instead. ok so the message the kids are supposed to get here is what? well its quite simple really: a plastic machine with plastic fur glued on and a basic sound/motion sensor is like totally way better than an actual living, breathing, thinking creature! i mean come ON those stupid "alive" things have saliva! and they get in on you when they lick you! EWWWW! robo-pups are way better cuz they dont have saliva, blood, bodily waste, or souls. so lose the damn canine, kiddies, and buy a fake dog instead.
