My mom sold the house I grew up in years ago and yesterday I found myself in the area so I pulled into the old neighborhood to have a look. Coincidentally my dad's old house is in the same neighborhood, and I lived there as well (yes my parents were both divorced and remarried, and lived in the same neighborhood, strange eh?). The memories started coming back.

Here was the first place I ever got kicked in the balls by a girl. Here is where I got betrayed by my best friend. I remember games of kickball or baseball in the cul de sac up ahead. There is the house where me and my step brother shot the back window out of somebody's car (sorry man! I was a troubled youth). Over there is where I got into a fight with Chuck and over there is where I got my ass kicked by Derek because of it. There's where Dusty lives, he always such an asshole to me, he helped make my fifth grade experience hell (thanks dickhead!). His mom was hot though.

I remember the dirt track we made in the back of some guys house so we could ride our bmx bikes on it. Winters when it snowed and iced enough that we could take cardboard boxes down to the "big hill" and slide down. Me and my best friend Kris Jennings vandalising a privacy fence by spray painting black flag along the side (sorry man! troubled youth ya know...If I had it to do over again I wouldn't I swear). I remember going out to play after dinner and while putting on my shoes in the garage overhearing my parents talking about divorce. The talk afterwards where I cried and asked if it was somehow my fault (they of course said no, but I'm not sure I ever believed them). Skateboarding along the street doing grinds on the sewers.

The days where the only thing I had to worry about was if someone could come out and play. Such a simple time, and yet now when I look back on it, it seems they weren't so simple after all. Things happened that would mold me into what I am today in that neighborhood. Some in good ways, some in bad.

Oh, and to the vendor who took the lemonade out of our drink vending machine, you suck!

Yeah, dude. It was your fault. shocked But that's all water under the bridge now.
