So Monday night I went to see The Decemberists with geckogirl, Llona, Bossanova, and one of Bossa's friends. I like the Decemberists, but I like them even more now. They put on a really good show and I had a good time.

Work is good. I have been given more responsibilty, which is a good thing. I'm unsure about my job right now though, but have decided not to worry about it too much anymore. Whatever happens, happens.

I don't live to work, I work to live.

"If you center your life around the acquisition of money rather than joy and happiness, you're fucked" Glenn Reynolds

Question: If people post stuff on their journals, how reserved should you be in commenting on it? Should you be blunt and say what you mean, even if it may piss them off, or stay superficial and distant? If someone is baring their soul on the internet, shouldn't your advice or impressions be just as bare? So many times I comment on someones journal, only to erase it because I feel sure it's not what they want to hear even though it could possibly be something they need to hear (oh the arrogance! As if my insights are SO special). Anyway....just some thoughts.

later.

Yeah, I know that dilemma. I think you have to approach people on the net in the same way you do in real life; there are some people with whom you have a solid relationship and can be engaging with, and there are others for whom you're just more of an open ear.

Like Destro, for example: We bicker and brawl and say what we mean and mean what we say with regards to one another. Major Bludd, on the other hand Nice guy; he came to my birthday party But its really not my place to put his life back in order. I can sympathize, but no one put a gun to his head and made him buy that chitlin ranch...
