We just hired three new guys. Two to do web work and one to administer databases and work on our manufacturing software. My boss has his hands full with those three guys, which means he has little to no time to nitpick me about my work. This is a good thing. I am now left relatively alone to work on things I need to work on, without someone fretting over me. Up until recently he has been like a mother hen about his network. But now it's mine, all mine.
This also means he isn't as available to me either when I need to ask questions, which can be often sometimes. This just means I have to work a bit harder to "figure it out" but I don't mind that either as the knowledge sticks with me better if I have to invest time in finding it.
Today I have to do a test restore of active directory to make sure it can be done and that I know how to do it.
I'm sure it's boring reading about my work, but this is what's going on right now, not much else.
