Captain's Log Stardate 04/05/05

I have assumed the role of an "IT professional" to live among these humans and experience their culture firsthand. I find them to be ....perplexing. The females of the species are especially troublesome.

Most interesting is a morning ritual that everyone participates in every day. It's called "traffic" and it involves sitting in a metal box for various periods of time. Some people do not like this "traffic" and get quite enraged. Others not so much. After "traffic" it's time for "work" which is even stranger than "traffic". Apparently "work" is sitting inside a metal cube shape and staring at a moving display for 8 to 10 hours. After "work" it's time for another "traffic" ritual.

After a week of these rituals I find myself growing tired of them. I wonder how these humans deal with it. I have heard of another ritual called "sex" that is supposed to help but it has remained elusive for the time being. I am hoping to experience "sex" sometime soon because "traffic" and "work" are grinding me down and I feel the need for release.

I will continue my observations...

I would caution you in your observations. Participating in the "sex" may lead to earth young; which from my experience are a force to be reckoned with. Their vocal attacks can cause severe pain and lack of sleep. I would also avoid the rite of "mortgage". That and children are surely a fatal combination which leads one to participate in "work" until one is dead.
