How am I supposed to feel about a national tragedy that got turned into a cudgel of fear used to beat the American public into supporting a fucked up war not to mention also using said cudgel to demonize every democrat in site and slander them as traitors?

No really... Amen to that. I just feel sad. What happened was a tragedy but it just keeps going on and on. We made things a lot worse than they had to be.
