i think my political shock and rage meter has burned out from being pegged at 100% for so long. these days it seems all i can muster is "meh". and yet... i'm still paying attention. i just wish there was sokmething worth paying attention too other than the democrats cowering like frightened schoolchildren. with the exception of Russ Feingold of course.

I think what you're talking about "outrage burnout". It's like all your worst fears have come true. You're still alive but it's your hope for the future that's dead. You keep thinking "It just can't get any worse" but the single party system just keeps exceeding expectations. You watch the news because you just know there's gonna be another big surprise around the corner.
