I love it when you find a new band that you like and you just can't get enough of them. You absorb them like a cough drop. I'm on this kick now with a band. It's a beautiful thing. I close my eyes and sit and listen.

Friday night I went to see The Brent DIckleton Trio which consists of some old friends of mine. I had a good time. It was fun. They played covers but did them well. Jimi Hendrix, Black Sabbath, Johnny Winter, oldies.

Last night I went to my friend Cara's art exhibit and ended up buying a painting that I couldn't resist. It's funny too because I was talking to the artist and he had just finished it that day and trucked it down as a last minute addition to the show. Afterwards we went to a friends loft and hung out and talked politics, racism, and what drives us in our lives. Deep for a bunch of drunks.

Today I went shopping for some new clothes and bought a couple of books.

I was going to go see the rollergirls last bout this evening but instead I think I'm just going to curl up with a book for the rest of the evening.
