at subway the other night, a customer, a guy i dont really like who works next door, didn't have enough money for his sandwhich. he said he had to go next door to get more money and he wanted to take the sandwhich with him. i wouldn't let him take it out without paying; hilarity ensued:
customer: 'but i come here all the time!'
me: 'i know. im just doing what i'm supposed to. and i can't let you leave with a sandwhich you havnt paid for'
customer: 'i do it all the time! it's called customer service'
me: 'cool. obviously i have a thing or two to learn about that'
customer: 'either the sandwhich goes, or i go!'
me. 'fine. leave.'
customer: 'i'm gonna tell Shaun about this!'
(shaun is my manager)
me: 'get out of here'
customer: 'i'll tell him!'
me: 'get the fuck out'
customer: 'i'll tell him you used vulgarity!'
me: 'good. tell him i gave you the finger too'
(i gave him the finger.)
customer: 'im telling Shaun. you'll be fired!'
(he walks out and stands in the door way. my middle finger is still showing)
customer: 'come out here! i'll break all your fingers!'
me: 'bye'
and he was the second customer that night i politely asked to get the fuck out. but i wasn't even angry and i never raised my voice. i guess i just had enough. subway aint exactly the land of opportunity, and i dont get paid enough to let cry baby assholes intimidate me. i quit before i got fired and luckily, i have a day job so i think ill be alright!

change. i have very fond memories of the first time i quit
my first job. i worked at a Burger Queen for godsakes. i
took off the stupid corduroy hat they made me wear and
threw it at the boss just before i stormed out.
