As this year begins to progress I am trying to find the level of being humble, modest, and confident..not wanting to become egomaniacal or self loathing. I've realized some of my own hypocrisy in that I find beauty in every place but the mirror...? :surreal

Now I'll subject you to something I wrote while sitting outside early morning in the mountains over the New Year Holiday.....

Walking:
I thought I was being chased so I started running,
in no particular direction.
I finally looked back to what was pursuing,
It was me.
I stopped, waited for myself to catch up.
I caught my breath, looked ahead and started walking forward.
