Man. It would be nigh impossible for things to get much better than they've been going this last week.

Got a date for Saturday. Called Heather last night, we fell right into the long-conversation thing again, and we set up plans to meet for dinner. (It's a shame this hadn't worked out a week ago, since we wanted to see "Hairspray" while it was in performance.) We both confessed to being timid and trepidatious about everything; neither of us have done anything like this before, going for a stranger met out clubbing... but there's just something there.

This is the first "date" date I've managed in, oh... 8 years or so. First time I've ever made plans, called someone up, asked them out. Damn.

My meeting with the dean of IUPUI was interesting; I was tired, and he was asking me questions that I was ill-prepared to answer; best/worst things about school there, etc. I brought up my problems with Dr. Penna; ought to be interesting to see how that comes down, since Dr. Penna's got tenure in the math department. May have to put off a math degree if he retaliates like I expect he might.
