Imagine my surprise when I checked my mailbox this morning, and along with all the junk and bills was a catalogue for Wiccan/"magick" supplies. How odd. Addressed to me, even, not the ex. How on earth did I manage to get on their mailing list? An entertaining little thing, though. I'm tempted to buy a bottle of "dragon's blood" or something, just to say I...

Apologies to whomever has the AIM name "Punk Symphony," to Kali/Qali/Wobewt Suicide, and anyone else that tried to IM me last night. I left my computer online while I was at work last night, and only when I returned home a little bit ago did I discover that I'd gotten a passle of IMs. Sorry...

Awesome. Just lemme know sometime before tomorrow evening (obviously). =P

I guess you could just as easily mapquest this, but here's the skivvy on how to get to the indiana theatre:

- Hop on I-70W, and take it all the way to terre haute.
- Get off on the first terre haute exit resembling minor civilization. As you get off the highway, there should be a few truck stops and such, but not much else. This should put you on I-40, which you'll want to take Northbound (right turn).
- I-40 will go for awhile and then deadend into a 'T' at a traffic light (the 2nd traffic light on that road, if you count the one that you hit right after you get off the highway).
- From there, take a left onto wabash avenue (at the T) and follow that all the way into town. More traces of civilization will emerge.
- Take wabash all the way down to 6th avenue, and then make a left on 6th.
- Follow 6th like 2-3 blocks down, and you'll see an old, rickety movie theatre. This is the venue. You can park pretty much anywhere in terre haute without being ticketed, so just find something convenient.

You might want to mapquest it anyways just to make sure, though. I emailed you my cell phone number; feel free to call me if you get lost.

Seeya there tomorrow! =)

I think I've been on an "up" period the last few days; the timing of my brain chemistry couldn't be more perfect. Feeling good in spite of a cold shoulder coming from the ex-girlfriend at work, enjoying work, life, school. I think it's helped that I'm opening up a bit more socially, since I don't feel as trapped in my life as I otherwise would....

Man, I hate sitting down and doing bill-paying and such, but once I finally get it over with, it feels great. Spent an hour or so online juggling accounts, combining debts and making payments, and (aside from my negligible car payment) it looks like I'll be free of debt by the end of the year- just in time to go right back into the red...

I almost went to IUPUI. In fact, I wish I could go there so I could stay in the city. No theatre major though. Sadness.

I found this liveset today (realaudio, 22mb, 1hr 42min)... for some reason, it struck me as being your "type" of house music. =) If you listen to it, lemme know if you like it...

The weekend begins, a couple of days off of work, and nothing to do. Well, a little homework, but that'll wait until an hour before class on Monday morning, like usual.

Relationships are strained with everyone right now- this week can't come to an end soon enough. Heather R.'s new boyfriend isn't keen on me being her friend, and she's acquiesced to his wishes. We...

Last post about the Stephanie break-up, I swear.

Finally had "The Talk" and confirmed everything that had been building up over the last few weeks. I'd be lying if I said it didn't hurt. I should be used to rejection by now, but it hurts all the same. I feel like the last one left in a rain-drenched "free kittens" box.

That said, I'm glad...

Nice quote. Your twist of irony was not lost. =)

I know how you feel as far as apartment redecorating goes. I recommend either one of two routes. You can either go out and think of the type of place you'd like to live at, and then buy a bunch of random crap. Next, start reorganizing the place with no particular end goal, and just let everything "fall in place". Approach (b) is to find a girl with proven taste in design and let her go nuts with the "house makeover" project.

I personally prefer the former of the two routes, but the later has its moments, too. I bet you could steal everything you need at walmart too, and run out the front door with it, never to be seen again!@

And bah, sucks about the girl... although being rejected is probably a bit better than the fog of uncertainty. (imo, anyways)

btw, let me know if you want a lift to the party in terre haute next weekend. It'll be a rockin' good time. =)

Okay, several unrelated comments.
I used to have a Bosch tarot deck. Very cool.
I know what you mean about breakups. Ug. Fucking evil Cupid, that summamabitch.
Also, thanks for the birthday wishes and I'm glad I could fulfill your twisted balloon fantasies!

The good thing about not wearing combat boots any more: no one thinks I'm an industrial/metal-type guy, just a dork. The bad thing about not wearing them any more: cold-as-hell water puddles on the way into school. My feet feel like I've ridden a water ride at King's Island and then hiked for 6 hours. Damn eco/animal-friendly canvas skate shoes.

The is the first moment...

Bah, the jacket will re-emerge soon... from the depths of cory's couch, no less.

Someone brought hot chocolate to work yesterday, and I could smell it right as she took it out of the bag. I miss that drink... I think it's time to buy me a jar of it next time I'm at the grocery store.

Tried to go out dancing last night, to little success. I think I got half an hour in before giving up the floor to guys who wanted to "lean back" and other such non-dances. Bad music, bad crowds. At least the servers and security were happy to see us.

Had a tortured little nap when I got back home, and woke up early to try...

(For those who are sick of the Stephanie-break-up thing, skip the next couple of paragraphs.)

The passive way to break up:

Left Stephanie a terse, but polite note on my public LJ. Found out she has been dating others; since it was obvious we weren't working out, that wasn't what bothered me, so much as the duplicitous nature of it, the attempt to hide her...

I agree, I told my mom a few days ago when she got mad at me for deciding to vote for Kerry, that with a republican house and senate a Democratic president would bring back the balance we need. I then went on to tell her that I would vote for Kerry even if the GOP managed to produce videos of him raping children and wiping his dick on the flag. And I can't think of anything worse than doing that, except GW.

Well, I added an old, ugly pic for my profile, so that people wouldn't think I was trying to be anonymous. I've read enough comments in the SG boards that made me realize that "no profile pic" is often a red flag. Be nice about it.

Am I the only person who is utterly, utterly disturbed by the TV advertisements for Burger King's breakfast foods? I can't imagine waking up in bed, turning over, and having the giant plastic-headed 1970's Burger-King King grinning at me. Well, I can imagine it, actually, but I don't like it.
