I was appalled to hear today that authorities are now shooting dogs in New Orleans. First of all, people are being forced to leave without their pets and now those pets are being shot. Truly awful.

Perhaps I am in the minority but I can assure you that if authorities came to my house and told me to leave without my critters, I would first refuse and then defend myself, my animals and my property from forced evacuation.

Please help the critters of New Orleans!
