Well... I put a down payment on that bike over the weekend. Should be able to pick it up by Wednesday. Needless to say I am PSYCHED! It is a 2002 BMW R1150GS and it is in mint condition with only about 7000 miles on it. Over $2K in extras. Simply awesome. Will post some photos when I finally get to pick it up.
This weekend was a blast. Saturday, I went to test-drive the bike then jammed home to hang with my sweetie. I finished most of the freelance work I had to do and then we hung out and watched more Deadwood:Season 1. I must admit, I like that show.
Sunday, we got up early, went for a long hike in the State Park near our house and then jammed down the hill to see Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. I enjoyed Tim Burton's take on this. Good times. Much truer to the book than the original. And frankly, I hate musicals so that always taints the original for me.

And, I really want to see that movie but I'm a little scared that it's not going to be what I would expect, or that it is going to be what I expect. Some friends of mine saw it and said that they hated it.

my brother has a 95 jeep gc and is totally enamoured. i've loved cherokees for a longtime. in fact as i was packing tonight i ran across pictues of my 1975 cherokee, complete with a 4 inch lift kit. i loved it, but i had a hell of a time getting anyone to pass inspection on it, because of the new emissions standards and it got to be too much of a hassle.
i'm looking foward to going to see willy wonka, i've always loved the original movie with gene wilder, but with tim burton's imagination it has to be better.
keep it sleezy on your side as well!
