So I was heading due east yesterday morning (yup, into the sun) when the people in front of me began to slow down. I looked up to see a shadowy figure ambling down the middle of the road -- oblivious to the oncoming traffic. The above quote was my initial thought, quickly followed by, "Nope, just someone's horse." This was followed by, "Shit that chick almost squished me," as the rapidly approaching car slammed on its breaks. Fortunately, there was no carnage. For both me and the horse.

Are Canadians as loony tunes as prople from the US? I swear, I was trying to figure out where the closest border crossing was the other day. People in this country have gone off their collective rockers. Coupled with my weekend experience (see previous journal entry), I have about lost my ability to tolerate stupidity.

I head out to the left coast tomorrow. Going to the D on Saturday night.... not sure what the other days will hold for good LA times. I hear the June gloom has made an extended stay this year. I am sure that will not deter my enthusiasm.
